Amazon Australia has launched a new logistics facility in Chullora, Western Sydney, boosting its capacity to handle up to 50,000 packages per day.
The Chullora site is designed to speed up deliveries across Sydney while generating operational roles and flexible work options for locals. Open ahead of the peak shopping period, the hub is Amazon’s 12th operational site in Australia.
The facility will not only support seasonal demand but also create lasting employment and business opportunities. Locals can apply for roles within the site or partner with Amazon as Delivery Service Partners, while individuals seeking flexible income can join through Amazon Flex.
“We’re excited to officially open the Chullora site, highlighting Amazon’s ongoing investment in Western Sydney,” said Paramjot Singh, Amazon Australia AMZL country leader. “This hub strengthens our delivery network, improves service to customers, and drives local economic growth.”
Site operations manager Joe Murray added that the team is already working closely with the local community and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
The new facility complements Amazon’s existing Sydney network. Packages will arrive from fulfilment centres before being dispatched to customers via Amazon Flex drivers and Delivery Service Partners.
