Protecting Your Loads Using the Handy Cargo Bar

All transport truck drivers place safety as their top priority. Getting the cargo undamaged to its destination is the second concern of all freight truckers.

The most frequent reason for damaged goods is improper product loading at the beginning, which causes items to slide throughout transit and ultimately results in a disgruntled and disappointed customer.

Any size of load can move while it’s being transported. Yes, even pallets, as a result of abrupt jerks or fast decelerations. These minor load shifts during the shipment may be harmful to the final product. Loads frequently slide around because there is an empty area between the cargo and the truck or trailer’s wall.

Knowing this, it makes sense to use any tool available to increase the chances of accomplishing those two priorities. This is where cargo bars become handy.

Drivers of both articulated and rigid  trucks have long utilised cargo bars, also known as load bars, to securely fasten their loads and stop load shift. A wide range of different cargo bars have been developed as these drivers search for fresh, creative solutions to safeguard both themselves and their cargo.

Installing and using cargo bars is fairly easy. To hold the product in place and stop movement, the bar is either installed between the truck’s sidewalls or from the ground up.

Tegral’s cargo bars have steel tubes with rubber feet at either end to keep the bar in position. Our cargo bars feature a ratchet mechanism with a lock that enables the operator to quickly alter the bar’s length and tighten its hold.

Tegral’s Cargo Bar ratcheting mechanism makes extending and shortening easy. Our cargo bars range in sizes from 2.24 metre to 2.62 metre. This allows us to accommodate the needs of almost every cargo truck, compact or full-size
