Know more about Laminated Veneer Lumber as Load Restraint

Laminated Veneer Lumber is an engineered wood product with high strength that is primarily used for structural applications. It is produced by pressing thin wood veneers that have been rotary peeled or sliced together under pressure and heat to form a material that is structurally equivalent to solid wood, concrete, and steel.

Because it is an engineered wood product, LVL is less prone to shrinking and warping. LVL can also withstand larger and heavier loads and span greater distances than standard timber.

LVL is available in as many different grades as hardwoods. LVLs can be manufactured to a variety of standards.

From packing grade, single-use, non-waterproof, through engineering grade, multiple uses, and BWR waterproof grade, they are available. Engineering grade, multipurpose, BWR waterproof grade LVL is used to make LVL pipe dunnage.

Engineered LVL grades are made from renewable forests and are utilised with pipe and tube dunnage. A cross slice of solid F12 Spotted Gum measuring 61 x 75 mm grows 8.5 times slower than a similar cross-section of LVL.

Tegral now stocks customizable sizes of LVL depending on your requirement. Enquire now for more information. Call us at 1300 159 809 or email us at sales@tegral.com.au.
