NHVR Fee Increases Effective 1 July 2025: Here’s What You Need to Know

If you’re running heavy vehicles or managing compliance in the transport industry, it’s important to stay on top of any changes to operating costs. The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has confirmed that from 1 July 2025, fees for access permits, NHVAS accreditations, work diaries, and escort services will increase in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

We’ve summarised the key changes for you below so you can plan ahead and keep your operation running smoothly.

Updated NHVR Fee Schedule (Effective 1 July 2025)

🚨 Victoria Escort Services

If you’re operating over-dimensional loads in Victoria, don’t forget the NHVR’s escort services fee will also increase on 30 June 2025.

• New Rate: $263 per hour (incl. GST)
• Minimum Charges:
  • 2 hours on weekdays
  • 3 hours on weekends and public holidays

Cancellation fees apply if cancelled less than 24 hours before the booking.
