Description
Dangerous Goods Segregation Box – Type II
Tegral’s Dangerous Goods Segregation Box / Container Type II is certified as an Australian type II Dangerous Goods Segregation Device for the segregation of incompatible dangerous goods during transport and storage. The DGS Box is ideally suited for the safe manual loading and unloading of smaller packages due to it’s unique and patented front load configuration. Larger, heavier items can be palletised using a custom drop in pallet.
Constructed from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with 304 stainless steel hardware, the box is UV resistant, acid proof, and virtually corrosion-free. Unlike steel segregation boxes that scratch, dent, and rust over time, this unit maintains its structural integrity in demanding warehouse, depot, and transport environments, keeping your maintenance costs and downtime to a minimum.
Key Features Designed for Operational Efficiency
- Robust & Low Maintenance Construction LDPE and stainless steel hardware mean no corrosion, no denting, and no costly repairs. Once it’s in your fleet, it works.
- Collapsible & Stackable Design Empty units collapse flat and stack 4 high, dramatically reducing your reverse logistics footprint and freight costs. More units per pallet, less dead space, lower cost per trip.
- Secure 6-Point Locking System Six self-closing, lockable over-centre (Snap-Flat) latches keep contents secured in transit — giving you confidence that your DG load is contained and compliant at every leg of the journey.
- 25L Bunded Base An integrated 25-litre bunded base captures any liquid spills or leaks within the unit, providing a critical layer of environmental protection and helping you meet your duty of care obligations.
- Flexible Signage Options Fixed and interchangeable signage panels accommodate DG diamonds, company branding, and shipping address labels — keeping your loads clearly identified and compliant with Australian dangerous goods regulations.
- IoT-Ready Enclosure An integrated housing for optional IoT devices means you can track, monitor, and manage your dangerous goods in real time — a future-proof feature as supply chain visibility becomes non-negotiable.
- Costs 25–50% less than comparable steel segregation boxes, without compromising on safety or compliance.
